Inauguration of the islands of Poya postal boxes

The commune of Poya, within the framework of the project of deployment of the PBI carried by the direction of the post and the parcel of the OPT-NC, has just been equipped with 8 new PBI in the 6 tribes of the commune: Nepou, Gohapin , Montfaoue, Netea, Ouendji and Nekliai-Kradji.

On this occasion, a ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Nepou tribe in the presence of Yasmina METZDORF, mayor of the municipality, the members of the municipal council of the mayor of Poya, Philippe GERVOLINO, director general of the OPT-NC as well as representatives of the OPT-NC and the customary.

A deployment driven by the OPT-NC development and development strategy

As the OPT-NC is committed to in its Strategic Plan OPT2017, these PO Boxes are part of the project of deployment of mail box islands in the tribes served by the mobile station and, more broadly, in a modernization and rationalization program for the mobile post which must evolve into a real mobile office.

Until now, in the tribes, the mail was deposited by the mobile station at a specific point, the common house or the residence of the small chief for example, which entailed problems of both confidentiality and security.

The islands of postal boxes are for rural areas a good alternative to home delivery in urban areas. They make it possible to focus on a single site standardized and secure mailboxes for each of the families in the area.

New Boxes of Postal Boxes (IBP) in the municipality

In addition to the 370 mailboxes available, the Poya agency provides a mobile station circuit in the town.
In its program of modernization and rationalization of the mobile post, the OPT-NC has endowed the municipality of 8 Islands of Post Boxes (PBI) for a total of 252 mailboxes.

A phase of discussion between the town halls, the customary authorities and the OPT-NC began in 2015 to refine the needs for the tribes involved.

The opt-nc's mail and parcel office went to Poya on August 11, 2015 to present to the elected officials and the customary the project of deployment in the concerned tribes of the commune. Following these meetings, the first studies were launched in February 2018 to determine in a concerted manner the different possible locations.

Thanks to an excellent collaboration between the town hall, the customary and the services of the OPT-NC, the IBPs were installed in all the Poya tribes within a few months, making the commune the twelfth of the territory. to be equipped at 100%.
